Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Perfect Game Tracker is a free, unofficial fan project. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used.
Information collected
- Email address: used for account login, email confirmation, password reset, account notices, and optional game alerts.
- Password: stored as a password hash, not as plain text.
- Account tokens: confirmation, password reset, and email-change tokens may be stored temporarily to complete account actions.
- Alert preferences: saved thresholds, enabled channels, favorite teams, and related account settings.
- Account security activity: successful and unsuccessful login outcomes and timestamps may be recorded to help monitor account security and prevent abuse. Perfect Game Tracker does not add a separate login-history IP address or user-agent record.
- Browser push settings: if you enable browser push, the site stores the browser subscription details needed to deliver alerts, along with device status and send results. Push endpoints and cryptographic subscription values are not shown publicly.
- Pushover settings: if you choose to configure Pushover, the site stores your Pushover User Key and Application/API Token so alerts can be sent through your own Pushover setup. Saved values are masked when displayed.
- Notification records: operational logs may record when alerts were queued, sent, skipped, or failed.
- Transactional email records: the site may record the recipient, message type, subject, unique delivery identifiers, submission result, Sent-folder copy result, and an imported delivery-return classification. The account password and email body are not stored in the delivery log.
- Email delivery returns: when the administrator enables this feature, Hostinger may notify the site that a likely returned message reached the administrative mailbox. An administrator can manually scan the mailbox, preview a parsed delivery status, and import the result into the delivery history. Return diagnostics can include the affected email address and receiving-server response.
- Registration abuse prevention: a hidden form field and short-term rate-limit records may be used to reduce automated registrations. Rate-limit records can include an IP address and are automatically removed after a short operational period.
- Server logs: the hosting provider may keep standard web/server logs such as request time, IP address, user agent, and requested URL.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the site, authenticate accounts, send requested alerts, troubleshoot delivery issues, prevent abuse, and maintain basic site reliability. Imported email returns are used for administrator visibility; v0.6.0 does not automatically disable an account or alert channel based on a return.
No sale of personal data
Perfect Game Tracker does not sell personal data, does not run advertising, and does not process payments.
Third-party services
Email delivery and optional mailbox automation depend on Hostinger services, including SMTP, IMAP, and an incoming-message webhook when enabled. Successfully submitted application messages may be copied to the administrative mailbox’s Sent folder. Pushover alerts are optional and use Pushover, a third-party service. If you use Pushover, your use of Pushover is also subject to Pushover’s own terms and privacy practices.
Account deletion and data removal
To request account deletion or data removal, email admin@perfectgametracker.com from the address associated with your account. Account removal may also remove alert preferences and optional Pushover settings.
Unofficial status
Perfect Game Tracker is not affiliated with Major League Baseball, MLBAM, or any MLB club.
